Construction of a two-floor kiln in the Nymburk malthouse

The construction involved a reinforced concrete monolithic object whose the main part was made up of a cylindrical reinforced concrete structure with a height of 17.5m and diameter of 29m, built using circular formwork. Halfway through the height of the cylindrical part, a 1.1m thick ceiling was built, supported only along the perimeter without central support. The work also included a monolithic extension of the kiln serving as an engine room. REKO PRAHA, a.s. performed the construction part of the kiln as the general contractor, including project documentation and ancillary building works.
